Unified Socialist to Feature 299 Central Committee Members and 19 Office Bearers

The CPN (Unified Socialist) has announced plans to significantly expand its central committee to 299 members and increase the number of office bearers to 19 in preparation for its upcoming convention from June 30 to July 4. This decision, ratified during a party meeting at Alok Nagar on Thursday, includes the introduction of new leadership roles such as “dignified leader” and “senior vice chairman.”

The party’s top leadership race is heating up, with senior figures like Jhalanath Khanal, Secretary General Ghanashyam Bhusal, and current Chair Madhav Nepal vying for the highest positions within the party hierarchy.
