Various places, including the Kathmandu Valley, witnessed rain after months on Sunday.
The Weather Forecasting Division has informed that light to moderate rainfall occurred in different parts of the country, including the federal capital.
Meteorologist at the Division, Sanjeev Adhikari, informed that the westerly wind caused the rainfall. In the last one hour, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Sudurpaschim Province and other places recorded rainfall. Currently, it is raining at Kirtipur, Sanamangal, Ratnapark and other places in Kathmandu, while Bhaktapur recorded 8.4 mm rain and Kirtipur 7 mm.
Dhunibeshi of Dhanding witnessed maximum rain- 12 mm.
Moreover, there is light rain in some places of Sudurpaschim and Gandaki provinces.
The Division further informed that it would take one to two hours for the improved weather. There will not be any rainfall in the night.
