The 16th World Social Forum (WSF) Conference commenced in Kathmandu on Thursday with a rally and play cards display, continuing until February 19. Over 30,000 participants from 100 countries and 1,200 organizations are attending, marking a pivotal moment in alter-globalization history.
WSF, initiated in 2001, advocates for “another world is possible,” with the 2024 edition focusing on “another world now!” The forum serves as a platform for diverse groups to address issues like neoliberal capitalism’s impact on climate change, peace, migration, and social justice.
