Weather to Remain Fair with Foggy Conditions in the Tarai

The general influence of westerly winds is shaping Nepal’s weather today, with foggy conditions persisting in many parts of the Tarai, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The high hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing partly to generally cloudy skies, while the weather remains predominantly fair across the rest of the country. This pattern is expected to continue through the afternoon.

Tonight, similar cloudy conditions are forecast for the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Department has also issued a warning about widespread fog in the Tarai on Saturday morning, urging residents to exercise caution as the fog could disrupt daily life, affect health, and impact transportation and aviation services.
