Westerly and Local Winds Affect Weather Across Nepal, Rain Expected
Nepal is experiencing the combined impact of Westerly and local winds, affecting weather conditions in several provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, and Karnali provinces are facing the general influence of these winds, while Koshi, Madhesh, Bagamati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing partial effects.
The Division’s weather bulletin forecasts generally cloudy conditions in Koshi, Bagamati, and Gandaki provinces, with chances of light to moderate rainfall in hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces today. Light rain, accompanied by lightning, is expected in one or two areas within Koshi, Bagamati, and Gandaki provinces. Tonight, parts of the hilly regions in Koshi and Gandaki are likely to witness light rain.
On October 14, hilly regions in Koshi, Bagamati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with light rain likely in some areas of Bagamati and Gandaki provinces.
The Department advises residents to stay informed and prepare for changing weather conditions.
