WhatsApp to Introduce Motion Photo Sharing for Android Users

WhatsApp is set to launch a new feature that will allow Android users to share motion photos in personal chats, group conversations, and channels.
According to WABetaInfo, a platform known for tracking WhatsApp updates, the feature aims to enhance the app’s media-sharing capabilities. Users will soon see a new button dedicated to motion photos when accessing their photo and video gallery within the app. This button will enable them to choose between sending a static or motion version of an image.
Motion photos capture a few seconds of movement before and after a still image is taken, blending the qualities of both photos and videos. These dynamic images are popular on smartphones like Samsung Galaxy devices, where they are also known as “Motion Photos.”
While the feature is already available on iOS, it is still under development for Android users and is expected to be introduced in a future update.
