Who Are the Nepalese Students Missing in Israel?
12 Nepali students have gone missing and remain uncontactable following a recent attack by Hamas in Israel. The Nepali government has officially confirmed the disappearance of these individuals, who were residing in the conflict-ridden region.
According to a source, among the missing students, some of the identified names include Lokendra Dhami, Rajesh Swarnakar, Praveen DC, Pravesh Bhandari, Padam Thapa, Sajan Phulara, Ashish Chaudhary, Narayan Neupane, and others. The whereabouts of these students are currently unknown.
Reports suggest that only those students who managed to find safety have been able to provide information about their missing friends. Additionally, two individuals sustained serious injuries during the Hamas attack and are currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
Furthermore, three other individuals who were injured in the same incident are also undergoing medical treatment, with two of them listed in critical condition. Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary, Himanchal Kattel, and Bidhan Sejuwal are among those receiving care, with Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary reportedly in stable condition among the injured.
The Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv has reported that the remaining two injured individuals are currently sheltered in a bunker and maintain contact with authorities. These students were employed at an agricultural farm situated near the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip. The accommodation provided by the farm housed a total of 17 Nepalese students, all of whom were pursuing their studies in Sdot Negev and hailed from the Far West Province.
