
Worker Dies of High Altitude Sickness at Mt. Everest Base Camp

A Nepali worker has lost his life due to high altitude sickness at the Mt. Everest Base Camp.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Lanima Sherpa of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-9, Dolakha district, according to the District Police Office, Solukhumbu.
Sherpa was employed at the Base Camp in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality-4. Deputy Superintendent of Police Dwarika Prasad Ghimire stated that he fell ill around 7:30 pm on March 30. Despite efforts to transport him to Khumjung Health Post by horse, he succumbed to his condition the following day at Thukla.
