World Cup 2022: Top scorers in the race for the Golden Boot in Qatar
The race for the Golden Boot award, presented to the top goal-scorer of the tournament, has begun at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
The world’s best footballers, including some legends of the sport, will be competing for the elite trophy at Qatar 2022.
Spain’s striker Alvaro Morata, France’s forward Kylian Mbappe, England’s Marcus Rashford, Netherlands’ Cody Gopko, and Ecuador’s Enner Valencia are the joint top scorers and are in the race for Golden Boot at Qatar 2022.
They all are the players who scored three goals yet in the 2022 World Cup.
Among these five players, Valencia’s country, Ecuador, has been eliminated from the tournament. As a result, Valencia has been left out of the race for the Golden Boot.
The player who scores the most goals in the tournament has been awarded the Golden Boot in every World Cup.
