Writ filed at Supreme Court against President Bhandari

A writ has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) against President Bidya Devi Bhandari for not authenticating the Citizenship Bill as per the Constitutional provision.

Supreme Court Spokesperson Bimal Paudel confirmed the filing of the writ.

Sunil Ranjan Singh and others filed a petition saying that President Bhandari has violated the Constitution and the supremacy of the Parliament by rejecting the Citizenship Bill which was passed by both houses of the Federal Parliament.
