Israel’s Ambassador Meets Vice President

The Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, Hanan Goder Goldberger, paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav on Friday at the Vice President’s office in Lainchaur. The meeting highlighted the longstanding diplomatic relationship and explored areas of mutual benefit and interest, including agriculture, labor, and bilateral trade.

Vice President Yadav expressed his satisfaction with the harmonious relationship between Nepal and Israel, which has been characterized by friendship, understanding, cooperation, and aid since the establishment of diplomatic relations on June 1, 1960. He praised Israel’s support in several sectors, noting the positive impact of Israeli scholarships, employment opportunities, and assistance in agriculture and cooperatives.

“The support of Israel to Nepal in areas of scholarship, employment opportunities, agriculture, and cooperatives has been praiseworthy. I believe that the relationship between Nepal and Israel will continue to prosper with mutual aid and collaboration,” said Vice President Yadav.

The Vice President emphasized the need for further efforts to enhance bilateral trade between the two nations. He extended his gratitude to the government of Israel for providing employment opportunities, particularly in caregiving, which has significantly benefited Nepali women and youths.

During the discussion, Vice President Yadav reiterated Nepal’s commitment to peace and stability. He also touched upon the ongoing efforts to rescue Bipin Joshi, reflecting Nepal’s dedication to the well-being of its citizens abroad.
