Koshi Province Cabinet Expanded to 10 Members

Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki expanded the Koshi Province cabinet on Friday, bringing the total number of ministers to ten. The new cabinet composition includes six members from the CPN-UML and four from the CPN-Maoist Center.

The CPN-UML members include Chief Minister Karki, Ram Bahadur Magar (Ilam), Ekraj Karki (Jhapa), Panchakarna Rai (Khotang), and Lilaballav Adhikari (Morang) as ministers, with Sirjana Rai (Bhojpur) serving as a state minister.

From the CPN-Maoist Center, the appointed ministers are Ganesh Prasad Upreti (Morang), Rajendra Kumar Karki (Sankhuwasabha), Narayan Bahadur Burja (Udaypur), and Bandana Jhangad (Jhapa), who is also a state minister.

Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning: Ram Bahadur Magar

Ministry of Energy, Irrigation, and Water Supply: Ekraj Karki

Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law: Lilaballav Adhikari
State Ministers: Sirjana Rai and Bandana Jhangad

The expanded cabinet is expected to enhance governance and development efforts across Koshi Province.
