MP Suwal Advocates Election for Leadership Roles in Army and Police

Prem Suwal, a member of parliament from the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, has stated that the leadership of the judiciary, constitutional commissions, army, and police should be chosen through elections from the relevant areas.

During the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, while keeping amendment proposal to the government’s policies and programs, MP Suwal emphasized that the leadership of the judiciary, constitutional commissions, Nepali army, and Nepal Police should be elected from their respective areas.

He further expressed that Nepalis should not hold property abroad, and individual property should be clearly defined.

Suwal also proposed the cancellation of various treaties and agreements including the Sugauli Treaty, Gorkha recruitment, the 1950 Treaty, the Mahakali Treaty, the Fukut-Karnali Treaty, MCC, BIMSTEC, and the Solar Alliance agreement.
