PM Condemns NC’s Actions : ‘You Have Done a Lot of Wrong Today, It Will Cost You Hard’

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ expressed dissatisfaction and anger over the disruption caused by the main opposition, the Nepali Congress, saying that it acted wrongly during the vote of confidence.

Prachanda submitted a proposal to take a vote of confidence amid opposition parties’ protests and sloganeering.

Amid the protests, UML Vice Chair Bishnu Paudel spoke in support of the proposal.

Then the Prime Minister, who was present at the rostrum to respond, expressed his anger towards the Congress MPs who had surrounded the well.

At the beginning of his speech, he said, “I want to say to the honorable members who are causing the obstruction, you have done a lot of wrong today.”

He mentioned that he had supported the Congress several times in the past and this time too he had taken the initiative to reach an agreement through dialogue, but the Congress did not even allow him to take a vote of confidence as per the constitution. He said, “You have set a bad example in history.” He also expressed his deep sorrow.

Furthermore, he stated that this action will be costly for the Nepali Congress: “This activity of yours today will be well established in the history of Nepal as a stigma.”
