Policy Clarity Urged Within Rastriya Swatantra Party

Central member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and youth leader Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has highlighted the need for policy clarity within the party.

During a tea reception hosted by the party today to mark its 2nd establishment anniversary, central member Shrestha advised the leadership to document the policy issues discussed during the Jaleshwor meeting.

At a joint session of the central committee and parliamentary party committee held in Jaleshwor last September, a political report was publicly released, which leader Shrestha brought to the attention of the leadership.

“RSP must establish clear policies. We cannot proceed based on whim,” he emphasized, adding that it is crucial for every responsible member of the party and the public to be informed about these policies.

Minister for Youth and Sports, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, also extended his best wishes on the occasion. He remarked that RSP is actively working to address governance challenges.

Shrestha further expressed the view that the alliance with ruling parties requires reassessment.

“The governance challenges we face are more critical than the social issues currently prevalent. Despite our position in government, we are navigating a delicate situation,” he observed.

He underscored the need to review the support RSP provides to the government.

In other news, Minister Shrestha shared that the Finance Ministry released funds on Friday to award winners of various national and international sports competitions.

The Minister is scheduled to publicly outline his activities over the last 100 days.
