ACC Premier Cup: Nepal defeats Oman by 84 runs
Nepal has defeated Oman by 84 runs in the second games of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup held today at TU Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, Nepal scored 310 runs after losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Oman, which entered the field with a target of 311 runs, lost all wickets in 46.3 overs and was confined at 226 runs.
With the win, Nepal is at the top position in Group A with 100 percent victory. Along with this, Nepal has also reached the semi-finals.
A total of 10 teams are participating in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup, and the teams are divided into two Groups. Nepal is in Group A along with Malaysia, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia while UAE, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and Bahrain are in Group B.
Winner of the Cup will get change to play in the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan in September.
Top three teams of this match will play in ACC emerging teams’ Asia Cup in which teams from Pakistan and India will also play.
Nepal will play as the third match with Saudi Arabia on Monday.
