Court extends Anmol KC’s remand by 3 days
Popular actor Anmol KC, who was arrested on charges of criminal treachery, will remain in police custody for three more days for investigation.
The court has granted permission to the police to investigate the case further, and Anmol will remain in police custody for 3 days. Judge Krishna Prasad Subedi allowed the detention for a thorough investigation.
Anmol KC was apprehended by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office team in Sanga, Bhaktapur, on Friday. According to police reports, KC claimed that a film producer intended to take him to Afghanistan for a film shooting. He also revealed that Sudarshan Films Pvt. Ltd refused to refund the advance money, even if he declined the film roles due to script-related reasons.
The arrest came after the producer filed a case, alleging that Anmol KC betrayed him at the last moment after accepting Rs 1 million in advance. Police are now conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.
