NSU’s Compassion Shines : Relief of 711,000 Rupees for Earthquake Victims
In a remarkable display of unity and compassion, the Nepal Student Union (NSU), an affiliate of the Nepali Congress has decided to establish a relief fund of 711,000 rupees to assist earthquake victims in the Jajarkot and Rukum West regions. This heartwarming initiative involves each of the 711 central members of the NSU contributing 1,000 rupees towards immediate relief activities.
NSU President Dujang Sherpa announced this benevolent effort, highlighting the commitment of the organization to help those in need during challenging times. The 711 central members of the NSU have wholeheartedly stepped forward to support the earthquake-affected communities by contributing to the relief fund.
In light of their dedication to aiding the affected regions, the NSU has also made the compassionate decision to postpone their originally scheduled induction program, which was set to take place on November 7 and 8. This postponement underscores the organization’s commitment to prioritizing relief and support efforts for the earthquake-affected areas.
President Dujang Sherpa explained, “Our primary focus right now is to provide immediate relief to those affected by the recent earthquake. The NSU is committed to standing by the affected communities and ensuring they receive the assistance they need during this challenging time.”
To further solidify their commitment to aiding earthquake victims, the NSU has issued instructions to its subordinate units to assemble in the affected regions, coordinating their efforts to provide help where it’s needed most.
President Sherpa also revealed that preparations are already underway for additional necessary support and aid distribution in the affected areas. The NSU’s collective efforts serve as a shining example of solidarity and empathy during a time of crisis, demonstrating the organization’s dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of those affected by natural disasters.
