CIAA Arrests Former Heads of Nepal Telecom and Security Printing Center
In a recent development, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has taken Sunil Paudel, the ex-managing director of Nepal Telecom, and Bikal Paudel, the former executive director of the Security Printing Center, into custody over corruption allegations.
The CIAA’s team arrested Sunil and Bikal at their residences in Shantinagar and Mandikhatar, respectively. During the operation, the authorities conducted a raid, recovering crucial documents from the accused individuals.
The apprehension comes after an ongoing investigation into the suspected misappropriation of public funds, misuse of program resources, and alleged involvement in transferring assets abroad. The CIAA is actively pursuing the case, aiming to uncover the extent of corruption and hold the individuals accountable for their actions.
