Breakdown of previous coalition positive: Senior Vice Chair Pokhrel
Senior Vice Chair of Nepal Communist Party, Ishwor Pokhrel, has welcomed the breakdown of alliance between CPN (Maoist Centre) and Nepali Congress, terming it a positive development.
Formation of present alliance having CPN UML and Maoist Centre is a legitimate one, he argued during a press meet organized at Dhangadhi airport on Sunday. He asserted that the previous coalition was intended to sabotage the UML.
Pokhrel further said it was positive to have Maoist Centre’s alliance with NC crumbled because it had neither any programme nor objective.
According to him, the present alliance would continue till conduct of coming election in 2084BS. If the present coalition moves ahead with structural changes, it would lead to leftist unity. He underlined the need of unifying leftist forces in the country.
