Dr. Govinda KC Ends Hunger Strike After 6 Days

Renowned activist and doctor, Dr. Govinda KC, concluded his hunger strike on Thursday after a grueling six days. Dr. KC commenced his strike on May 11, calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. His protest garnered widespread attention, reflecting concerns over governance and healthcare in Nepal.

Dr. KC’s health became a matter of serious concern on Wednesday evening, prompting his admission to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. In a press statement issued upon concluding his strike, Dr. KC lamented the government’s apparent indifference to his protest, citing neglect as a driving force behind his decision to end the strike.
