Former Dolpa Social Development Office Chief Among Five Charged by CIAA

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has taken legal action against five individuals, including the former chief of the Social Development Office in Dolpa.

Dhananjaya Acharya, the ex-head of the Dolpa office, faces accusations of authority misuse during the construction of a covered hall and sports fields, leading to an excess payment exceeding Rs 993,940.

Alongside Acharya, the CIAA filed complaints against Sub Engineer Moti Prasad Budha, Consumer Committee Chairman Abhishek Shahi, Secretary Apara Gurung, and Treasurer Bishwanath Shahi at the Special Court in Kathmandu.
