Teacher Killed by Landslide in Parshuram Municipality

A landslide in Parshuram municipality-3 claimed the life of Nabaraj Paneru, 56, on Saturday. Paneru, a respected local teacher, was struck by a stone while returning from cleaning a drinking water source in Bhatgada of Parshuram-1. He died on the spot, confirmed Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dipak Karki.
The region has experienced heavy rainfall over the past three days, causing multiple landslides along the Bhimdatta Highway. The Seti Highway was also obstructed but has been partially reopened for one-way traffic. The Budar-Jogbudha road remains closed, with efforts to clear debris near Sunkhola stream hindered by ongoing rain, according to Parshuram municipality mayor Bharat Joshi.
