Man dies as landslide buries house in Pokhara

A person died in Pokhara Metropolis-27 after his house was collapsed in a landslide occurred early this morning.
Bhim Bahadur Thapa, 22, from Sahelapata died when his house was buried in the landslide, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Basant Kumar Sharma.
However, 50-year-0ld Kamala Thapa was rescued alive in the disaster.
After knowing about the landslide burying house, a police team mobilized from the Area Police Office, Sishuwa and locals involved together in the rescue works. Even a team of the Armed Police Force joined the rescue, Sharma added.
It has been raining in the Pokhara Valley since Tuesday evening.
