Death toll in Kaski landslides rises to 11

The death toll has risen to 11 in the Kaski landslides that occurred last night in Kaski district. Officials confirmed that 10 persons died in Pokhara Metropolitan City and one died in Madi Rural Municipality.
Seven members of Kul Bahadur Pariyar’s family died at Tallakot of Puranchaur in Pokhara Metropolitan City-19, Spokesperson of Kaski Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Basanta Kumar Sharma said.
Likewise, Anita Ojha, 18, Pratik Subedi, 9, and Anuska Ojha, 11, died in the landslide at Chainpur in Pokhara Metropolitan City-32.
Similarly, 80-year-old Maiti Kumari Gurung, who was missing in a landslide in Madi Rural Municipality-11, was found dead, DPS Sharma said.
