Two Sisters Found Dead in Water Pit

In a heartbreaking incident on Sunday, two sisters were found dead in a water pit in Putalibazar Municipality Ward 4. The deceased have been identified as Laxmi Thapa, 14, and Susmita Thapa, 12, daughters of Narendra Bahadur Thapa.

The sisters had gone to the water pit, located approximately 500 meters from their home, to bathe and wash their clothes. When they did not return home for an extended period, a search was launched. Their bodies were later discovered in the water pit near Ramkosh Swara.

According to the District Police Office in Syangja, preliminary investigations indicate that the girls drowned. “Further investigation into the case is underway,” a police official stated.
