Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to Seek Vote of Confidence on July 21

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to seek a vote of confidence from the federal parliament on July 21. This move comes in accordance with Article 76 (4) of the Constitution, which mandates that the Prime Minister must seek a vote of confidence within 30 days of being appointed as the head of government under Article 76 (2).

Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chairperson of CPN-UML, was appointed by President Ramchandra Paudel last Sunday with the support of the Nepali Congress. This appointment was made under Article 76 (2) of the Constitution.
