143 Dead, 47 Missing Due to Monsoon-Induced Floods and Landslides

A total of 143 people have died and 47 are reported missing due to floods and landslides triggered by the monsoon in different parts of the country, according to statistics from June 4 to today.
Nepal Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, provided the following breakdown of fatalities:
- Kathmandu Valley: 2
- Koshi Province: 22
- Madhesh Province: 6
- Bagmati Province: 29
- Gandaki Province: 42
- Lumbini Province: 24
Injuries have also been significant:
- Kathmandu Valley: 9
- Koshi Province: 35
- Madhesh Province: 10
- Bagmati Province: 9
- Gandaki Province: 31
- Lumbini Province: 9
- Karnali Province: 44
- Sudurpaschim Province: 14
Rescue operations have saved 71 people so far:
- Kathmandu Valley: 3
- Koshi Province: 49
- Gandaki Province: 12
- Karnali Province: 2
- Far West Province: 5
The number of missing individuals stands at 47:
- Koshi Province: 2
- Bagmati Province: 42
- Gandaki Province: 2
- Karnali Province: 1
The search for the missing continues. The disaster has caused significant damage, with 184 houses submerged, 241 houses, 88 sheds, 43 bridges, two schools, and two government offices damaged. Additionally, 608 cattle heads have died, and 4,042 households have been displaced.
