Transfer and Posting of Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Proposed
The transfer and posting of Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) within the Nepal Police has been proposed, according to sources from police headquarters. Along with the recent promotion recommendation for AIGP Ramdutta Joshi, three additional AIGPs have been proposed for transfer.
Newly appointed AIGP Joshi is recommended to be posted at Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal. The positions of head of Kathmandu Valley Police Office Ranipokhari (Metro) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) have also been affected by these changes.
According to the proposal, AIGP Deepak Thapa, currently the chief of Metro, Ranipokhari, will be transferred to CIB, Lajimpat. AIGP Kiran Bajracharya of the Nepal Police Head Office Operation Department is proposed to be transferred to the Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari. Following Thapa’s transfer to CIB, Shyamalal Gyawali will be brought to the Nepal Police Headquarters, Provincial Coordination Department, Naxal.
The proposal for these transfers has been sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs and will be discussed and decided upon in the upcoming cabinet meeting.
