Weather Update: Light Rainfall and Heavy Downpours Expected Across Multiple Provinces

Light rainfall is currently taking place in one or two locations across Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces this morning. The ongoing monsoon season continues to influence weather patterns across Nepal, leading to varying degrees of rainfall throughout the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, heavy rains are predicted in a few areas within Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon, with one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces also expected to experience significant downpours.

As the day progresses into the evening and night, the weather is forecasted to become partly to mostly cloudy across the country. There is a high likelihood of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in many places within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, a few areas in the Madhesh province may also experience similar weather conditions.

Residents in these regions are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions due to the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms later in the day.
