10 passengers injured in bus and truck collision in Chitwan
Ten passengers were injured when a bus and a truck collided at Pampha Bridge in Rapti Municipality-5 of Chitwan along the East-West Highway.
Ten passengers of the bus were injured when the bus with registration plate number Ba Pra 01-006 Kha 4799 heading towards Dharan from Kathmandu and the truck (Na 6Kha 5927) going in the same direction collided with each other this morning, police said.
Bheshraj Rijal, spokesperson of District Police Office Chitwan, informed that seven of the injured have minor injuries while the condition of three is normal.
Four of the injured are being treated at College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital Bharatpur and six others at Alive Hospital and Trauma Centre Bharatpur.
The police have detained both the vehicles, the bus driver Santosh Kumar Yadav, 40, of Tirahut Rural Municipality-2 in Saptari and the truck driver Nirkumar Pradhan, 35, from Sangutar Rural Municipality-2, Ramechhap.
