Student Enrollment Doubles at Birendra Multiple Campus
The number of students at Birendra Multiple Campus, a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University, has more than doubled over the past few years. While 3,400 students were enrolled in 2077 BS, the current number has surged past 7,000.
Campus Chief Dayaram Poudel attributed the significant increase in student enrollment to the introduction of new subjects across various faculties. The campus now offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in humanities, science, management, and education.
In the management faculty, students can pursue BBA and BBS degrees. The science faculty offers BSc, BSc CSIT, BIT, BSc Zoology, and Microbiology programs. The education faculty includes subjects like BS and BICTE. At the postgraduate level, the campus provides courses in physics and chemistry within the science faculty, MBS in management, and a variety of humanities subjects, including Nepali, English, economics, sociology, and population education.
This year, the campus is also preparing to launch MCA and MEd courses, further expanding its academic offerings. “With the introduction of these new subjects, Birendra Multiple Campus has become the first choice for many students,” said Campus Chief Poudel. He added that the combination of low tuition fees and quality education has made the campus highly attractive, with students opting to stay until they secure a seat.
