Australia’s New Ambassador to Nepal, Leann Elizabeth Johnston, Presents Credentials to President Ramchandra Paudel
Australia’s newly appointed Resident Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Leann Elizabeth Johnston, presented her Letters of Credence to President Ramchandra Paudel in a formal ceremony at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, on Thursday.
Joining her at the ceremony were H.E. U Myo Myint Maung, Resident Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, H.E. Mrs. Virginie Corteval, Resident Ambassador of the French Republic, and H.E. Mr. Percy Patson Chanda, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia, who also presented their credentials to President Paudel.
After the ceremony, Ambassador Johnston expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “It was a privilege to present my credentials to the President of Nepal, the Rt Honourable Ramchandra Paudel, in a truly beautiful ceremony. Thank you for the wonderful, warm reception. I am very excited to begin my tenure as Australia’s Ambassador to Nepal.”
The event was attended by Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Arzu Rana Deuba, along with other high-level government officials.
