7th SAFF Women’s Championship Kicks Off Today in Kathmandu
The seventh edition of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship begins today at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, marking an exciting regional football event. Organized by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the tournament features teams from Nepal, the Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan, and Bangladesh.
The championship, which runs until October 30, is divided into two groups. Defending champion Bangladesh, along with India and Pakistan, is placed in Group ‘A’. Meanwhile, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives make up Group ‘B’.
The opening match will see India face off against Pakistan today, while Nepal will begin their campaign against Bhutan on Friday. Football fans across South Asia will be closely following the tournament as teams compete for the prestigious title.
