Government Seeks Public Feedback on Draft Nomination Procedure for Transitional Justice Bodies
The government has called for public feedback on the draft procedure for appointing chairpersons and members to the Commission on Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
The draft, titled “Selection Procedure 2081,” outlines the nomination process based on the recommendation committee’s recent decision on the 27th. Stakeholders have 48 hours to submit their suggestions or feedback on the draft.
A notice announcing this was published on both commissions’ websites Monday and posted on the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs’ notice board. Suggestions and feedback can be submitted via email to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected], as stated by Section Officer Ram Krishna Pathak.
