Gold Price Hits Record High in Nepal

The price of gold in the domestic market has reached an all-time high, surging by Rs 4,000 per tola (11.66 grams) to Rs 174,500, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (Fenegosida).

On Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 170,500 per tola. Meanwhile, the price of silver stands at Rs 2,050 per tola today.

Fenegosida’s First Vice-Chairperson, Dharma Sundar Bajracharya, attributed the rise in gold prices to the appreciation of the US dollar and global political uncertainties.

In the international market, gold is currently being traded at $2,982 per ounce.
