Fire Breaks Out on American Airlines Jet After Emergency Landing in Denver, 12 Injured

An American Airlines jet caught fire after making an emergency landing at Denver International Airport on Thursday, injuring 12 passengers, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed.
The aircraft, carrying 172 passengers and six crew members, was en route from Colorado to Dallas-Fort Worth when the crew reported engine vibrations, prompting an emergency diversion to Denver.
According to the FAA, the fire ignited after landing while the aircraft was taxiing to the gate, forcing passengers to evacuate using emergency slides.
Dramatic footage shared on social media showed thick smoke billowing from the plane near the terminal, with some passengers seen standing on a wing as emergency responders arrived.
Denver International Airport confirmed that all passengers were safely evacuated, but 12 individuals were transported to hospitals with minor injuries.
The FAA has launched an investigation into the incident, which comes amid heightened concerns over aviation safety following recent industry mishaps.
