Air Dynasty Helicopter Crashes in Rasuwa, Rescue Operations Underway
An Air Dynasty helicopter, registration number 9N-AJD, crashed shortly after takeoff from Kathmandu Airport, officials confirmed. The helicopter, carrying four Chinese nationals, was en route to Syafrubeshi in the Rasuwa district.
At 1:54 PM local time, the helicopter took off from Kathmandu Airport. Just three minutes into the flight, it lost contact with Kathmandu Tower. The crash site was identified as Suryachaur, located in Shivpuri Rural Municipality, Ward No. 7.
Upon receiving news of the accident, a Prabhu Helicopter Company helicopter, registration number 9N-ANL, was dispatched to the crash site for rescue operations.
The Search and Rescue Coordination Center of the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority is overseeing the rescue efforts. Further details about the cause of the crash and the condition of the passengers are yet to be confirmed.
