All Four Doors of Pashupatinath Temple Now Open
15th Jun 2024
Today at 4:00 am, all four doors of the Pashupatinath temple were opened. This decision was made in response to the growing number of devotees, according to Rewatiraman Adhikari, spokesperson for the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust.
Previously, only one door was open initially, with the remaining three doors opening after 8:30 am. However, starting today, all four doors will be open from early morning.
The opening of all four doors is expected to alleviate the long queues that devotees have faced.
Before this change, the Pashupatinath temple typically opened all four doors at 4:00 am only during major Hindu festivals such as Mahashivratri, Haritalika Teej, and Balachaturdashi.
