Attack on CG Foods Park in Lalitpur, 22 Arrested

An unidentified group attacked the CG Foods Park in Bhainsepati, Lalitpur on Friday, according to a statement issued by the Chaudhary Group. The group, which arrived in a bus registered as Ba 4 Kha 1085 around 3 pm, reportedly manhandled employees and shouted anti-government slogans.

Madhusudan Poudyal, spokesperson for Chaudhary Group, detailed the incident, stating that the attackers also misbehaved with the management team at the facility. CG Foods Park, known for producing the popular Wai-Wai noodles, became the unexpected site of the protest.

The police responded swiftly to the incident, arresting 17 women and five men, including the bus driver. SSP Naresh Subedi of the District Police Office, Lalitpur, confirmed that the detainees are currently being questioned to ascertain the reasons behind the attack and any potential affiliations.
