Bharatpur: Potential Hub for Agriculture, Education, and Health, Says Oli
Speaking at the inauguration event of the Bharatpur Visit Year 2024 on the banks of the Narayani River today, CPN (UML) Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli highlighted Bharatpur’s vast potential for tourism development. Addressing a diverse audience, Oli emphasized the city’s unique blend of residents hailing from various parts of the nation and indigenous communities from the district.
Oli, renowned for his visionary approach, underscored Bharatpur’s significance as a tourism hotspot, citing its strategic location and rich cultural diversity. “Chitwan is the city with immense tourism potential,” Oli remarked, unveiling plans for a waterways route connecting Bengal via the Narayani and Koshi rivers to capitalize on the region’s allure.
Acknowledging the pivotal role of the private sector, Oli commended their efforts in realizing infrastructure projects aligned with his vision, including the development of water tourism infrastructure along the Narayani River.
Furthermore, Oli pledged unwavering support towards Bharatpur’s development, outlining initiatives such as the construction of an Assembly Hall, expansion of road networks, and enhancement of postal services. He reiterated his commitment to positioning Bharatpur as a focal point for agriculture, education, and healthcare, emphasizing the critical role these sectors play in fostering sustainable growth and prosperity.
