
Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck Arrives in Kathmandu for Unofficial Visit

Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck arrived in Kathmandu on an unofficial visit this morning, following his trip to India.
Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), King Wangchuck was warmly welcomed by Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba.
During his brief stay, the Bhutanese monarch is scheduled to visit two of Kathmandu’s most iconic heritage sites, Swayambhunath and Bauddhanath, later this afternoon.
The visit underscores Bhutan’s cordial relations with Nepal, reflecting shared cultural and spiritual values.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, King Wangchuck is set to return to Bhutan later today, concluding his short yet significant visit to the Himalayan nation.
