Bir Hospital and National Trauma Centre Commence OPD Services from 8 AM
Starting today, the Bir Hospital and the National Trauma Centre have shifted their outpatient department (OPD) services to an earlier time, opening their doors at 8 am instead of the previous 9 am. The decision aims to enhance convenience for patients seeking medical care.
Dr. Santosh Poudel, the Director of Bir Hospital, expressed that the adjustment in the OPD timing was made to better accommodate patients. He shared that registration for check-ups will now take place from 7 am to 2:30 pm at both healthcare facilities. Additionally, surgical services at Bir Hospital will commence at 8 am. As part of an administrative measure, e-attendance has been made mandatory for all hospital employees.
The Bir Hospital, which currently caters to approximately three thousand patients daily, aims to provide prompt and efficient medical services to the public. The earlier start time for OPD services will help streamline patient flow and ensure timely access to medical care.
Similarly, at the National Trauma Centre, Chief Dr. Badri Rijal announced that OPD services now begin at 8:15 am across all departments within the center. This change allows patients to seek medical attention earlier in the day, improving the overall efficiency of healthcare provision.
The decision to commence OPD services at 8 am was made during a meeting of the Executive Council of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), highlighting the commitment of the medical community to prioritize patient welfare and optimize service delivery.
With these updated timings, both Bir Hospital and the National Trauma Centre aim to cater to the growing healthcare needs of the community effectively. The revised schedule aligns with the vision of providing accessible and quality healthcare services to patients, enabling them to receive timely treatment and support.
