
Body of 20-Year-Old Kamal Sapkota Found, Death Toll in Baglung Flood Rises to Three


The body of Kamal Sapkota, 20, from Bandre Adhaithar, Baglung Municipality-4, who went missing during a flood in the Bandrekhola rivulet, has been found. This brings the death toll from the flood to three. According to Sub-Inspector Pratap Poudel of the District Police Office, Sapkota’s body was discovered 500 meters from the incident site.
The flood, which occurred at midnight on Thursday, swept away a motorcycle (Dha. 2 Pa. 8010) and a scooter (Dha. 1 Pa. 9996). Arjun Sapkota, 23, and Avishek Regmi, 22, both from Baglung-4, were also killed in the incident. Their bodies were recovered about 200 meters downstream last night.
Kamal Sapkota’s body has been taken to Dhaulagiri Hospital for a post-mortem. The group had been traveling towards Malika from Kudule when the tragedy occurred.
