By-Election: Party Registration March 7, Candidate Registration April 6
The Election Commission has announced the commencement of party registration for the upcoming by-election on March 7, coinciding with Falgun 24. This registration window applies specifically to the Illam 2 and Bajhang 1(1) constituencies and will extend until March 13, concluding on Falgun 30.
Following the finalization of the election date, the Election Commission disclosed the comprehensive election program on Monday. According to this schedule, candidate registration is slated to occur on April 6, corresponding to Chaitra 24.
Furthermore, the allocation of election symbols will occur subsequent to the publication of the final candidate list on April 9, coinciding with Chaitra 27.
In addition, the Election Commission has outlined the period for election publicity, scheduled from April 10 (Chaitra 28) to April 25 (Baisakh 12). The voting itself is set to take place on April 28, aligning with Baisakh 15, 2081.
