CAAN Halts All Simrik Air Helicopter Flights

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has officially declared a ban on all helicopter flights operated by Simrik Air. This decision came in the wake of a tragic incident in which a Simrik helicopter crashed in the Bhotkhola Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasabha district on Friday.

As per reports, the helicopter was carrying goods when the crash occurred, leading to an immediate halt of Simrik’s helicopter operations until a thorough inspection of all other aircraft was conducted.

In light of this unfortunate event, the CAAN has launched an inquiry into Simrik Air’s adherence to air safety standards during the flight, ascertaining whether the company’s compliance was satisfactory or not.
