In a thrilling encounter at Mulpani International Cricket Ground, Canada XI secured the ODI series title by defeating Nepal A by four wickets. The final match of the three-day series witnessed Canada XI’s disciplined performance both with the ball and the bat.
Winning the toss, Canada XI opted to bowl first, restricting Nepal A to 181 runs in 46.6 overs with a commendable bowling display. Ashutosh Ghiraiya and Arjun Kumar led Nepal A’s batting effort, but the duo couldn’t steer their team to a formidable total. Canada XI’s bowlers, Dillon Heyliger and Harsh Thaker, played a pivotal role, claiming two wickets each.
In response, Canada XI showcased their batting prowess, chasing down the target in 38.4 overs. Aaron Johnson and Nicholas Kirton led the charge with scores of 42 and 58 runs respectively, ensuring their team’s victory.
Despite Shahab Alam’s four-wicket haul for Nepal A, Canada XI managed to clinch the win, with Sher Malla and Basir Ahmed also contributing with one wicket each.
