Case filed against cricketer Lamichhane demanding 12 years imprisonment

A case has been registered against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane at Kathmandu District Court, demanding 12 years imprisonment.
On Monday, the government lawyer filed a case against Lamichhane in the district court of Kathmandu.
The police completed the investigation a week ago and submitted the report to the district public prosecutor’s office.
Citing the provisions of the National Criminal Code, the report demanded that the rapist of a teenage girl between the ages of 16 and 18 should be sentenced to 10 to 12 years imprisonment.
Lamichhane was arrested from the airport as soon as he arrived in Nepal for an investigation after a 17-year-old girl accused him of rape.
