Chair Prachanda offers condolence to victims of Bara bus accident

Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he was saddened by the Bara accident wherein many people lost their lives, and many others were injured.

In a condolence message on Thursday, the former Prime Minister offered his condolence to the deceased and the bereaved families.

Wishing for speedy recovery of the injured people, he urged the concerned authorities to provide reliefs and compensation to the families of the dead and injured.

He also urged people to stay alert in view of continuous rains at different parts of the country while directing party line to be ready for rescue and relief efforts to the victims of natural disasters.

The accident took place yesterday as a bus (Bagmati State 06-001 Kha 0110) heading towards Birgunj from Narayangadh of Chitwan, somersaulted on the road due to high speed.

The accident had occurred at Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolis-22 along the East-West Highway in Bara district.

Ten persons died on the spot in an accident while 8 others died during treatment.

Similarly , 26 people who are injured from the accident are receiving treatment in different hospitals.
