Chair Yadav Calls for Constitutional Amendment Through Consensus
Chairperson of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal, Upendra Yadav, emphasized the need for amending the constitution through a commission comprising constitutional experts.
Speaking at a press conference organized by the Nepal Awadi Journalists’ Association today, Yadav stated that the constitution should be revised with the consensus and coordination of all political forces, guided by the insights and suggestions of experts.
He stressed that proportional and inclusive representation must not be compromised during the amendment process.
The former Deputy Prime Minister highlighted concerns over growing political instability, cautioning that it threatens the hard-earned achievements attained through years of struggle and sacrifice. He urged unity among all stakeholders to safeguard and institutionalize these accomplishments.
